Production log 5
In this lesson I focused on my evaluation, I made it on powerpoint with images of both the front cover and contents page. Around the images I wrote why I chose the colour scheme and fonts that I did and how it would represent and promote Haydon school well. I also did this for the main image, and anything else that inlcuded on my magazine, I stated why it would attract to the target audience and why they would want to read my magazine. After I finished my magazine and published it on to my blog, I got taught how to analyse a music magazine in detail and all the points that you have to talk about, I then searched on google to find a magazine that I liked and could then analyse next lesson.

Production Log 4
In this lesson I aimed to finish the preliminary task of creating the magazine to promote Haydon school. I started on my contents page, in which I decided to use two images. One of the headteacher and another of the Haydon school values. I used these pictures because they related to sell lines and the contents which I included on the page, therefore it further attracted the target audiences to find and read these pages. I used the same colour scheme as the one on my front cover. This was blue, white and red. The blue represents Haydon school well and the red stands out as a bold font colour against the blue background. After arranging everything on my contents page, I went back and edited small things on my front cover until I was completely happy with how the magazine looked. However next lesson I still need to complete an evaluation of the magazine and then I will have finished the preliminary task.

Production Log 2&3
In both of these lessons I focused on the front cover for my
magazine, and successfully finished it by the end of lesson 3. Firstly I used a
Camera to collect a number of photographs of a student and also a number of
different places in the school, that I could then transfer on to the computer
and use in my magazine. I decided on a mid shot of the student wearing uniform
because I thought it represented the school well and would attract the target
audience because they are of a similar age group. After choosing which images I
wanted to use, I cut out the backgrounds on Photoshop so that I could then
transfer them to In design, this looked a lot better than keeping the original
background of the photo. I then enlarged the image until I was happy with how
It looked, I decided to make the background of my magazine cover a light blue,
however I made it gradient so that it started off blue and faded in to white.
This was because I thought that a complete blue background looked too strong
and that the gradient background was more subtle and professional looking and
still used the Haydon colour of blue. I then produced a bold and bright title ‘Haydon
shout’ I made this red because it stood out well on the blue background. I
placed the Haydon logo behind the writing so that it was recognizable to the
target audience. Lastly I placed four sell lines on to the magazine; all which
I already planned from my sketch, I then arranged these on the page until they
looked even on both sides and they still stood out but didn't take the
attention of from the main image and title. Next lesson I will start to make my
contents page.

Production Log
Today’s lesson was an introduction to the course and what we
be will be focusing on this year in media studies.
We started our preliminary
task of the coursework which is to create a magazine to promote Haydon school,
we will only be making a front cover and contents page. This will test our
magazine making skills and also help us when we start the real tasks of the
coursework. In this lesson I started to sketch both of these pages on paper
before starting to make them on the computer. My front cover was a mid shot of
girl in Haydon uniform, this represents Haydon school well and will attract the
students because they can relate to it, The name of my magazine is Haydon
shout, I put this at the top of the page and will make sure it is bold and
stands out, preferably in a blue colour as this is one of the main colours of
the school. I included a few sell lines on the front cover making sure they
would attract the target audience. The contents page had a background of the
school and then several titles and numbers down the page. This will further
tell the reader what will be included in the magazine and will help them to find
any specific pages that they want to see. After I finished sketching my ideas I
then used a camera to take any necessary pictures that I needed for my
magazine. Next lesson I will scan in my sketches and upload the pictures that I
took so that I can start to make my magazine.
